The annual average of snow cover area during the winter months over the Central Italian Apennines from 2017 to the present.
This data set provides a daily composite of snow cover in central Italy, specifically in the Abruzzo and Molise regions, derived from the 'MODIS/Terra Snow Cover Daily L3 Global 500m SIN Grid V061' data set (DOI:10.5067/MODIS/MOD10A1.061). Each data granule is available
at a spatial resolution of 500 m x 500 m, covering the temporal extent from
February 24, 2000, to the present.
